Impact FC parents, players, and coaches:

The safety of our players, families, and coaches is our #1 priority as an organization. Following the lead of US Youth Soccer, the Illinois Youth Soccer Association, and other clubs in the region, we have suspended all club activities (games and practices) until 5/15/2020. We will reevaluate the situation at that point and communicate with you then.  

We understand a number of you have questions about how the Spring soccer session will be handled in light of the coronavirus situation.  The Impact FC board of directors hopes the following information will answer some questions and help everyone plan for the near future.  While we can give specific answers to some questions, a number of issues remain unanswered because those decisions are out of our control.  Impact FC has multiple teams in two different leagues.  These leagues have different directors and are subject to different governing bodies.  We are also scheduled to participate in six different tournaments and those tournaments have different directors.  

Are practices cancelled?
Yes.  Both leagues that we participate in have stated that practices must be temporarily suspended.  All Impact FC practices are cancelled until at least May 15.

Are games cancelled?
Yes.  Both league that we participate in have stated games are temporarily suspended.  Impact FC will not play any games until at least May 15.

When will we know if practices and games are scheduled?
We will notify everyone by email and team app if we receive any updated information from either league.  We will pass this information along as it becomes available.  In addition to passing along the information as it becomes available, we will send an update email similar to this on May 15.

Does Impact FC still expect Spring fee payments to be made now?
NO.  We are not collecting payments at this time.  We will determine a reasonable amount of fees at a later time based on how many practices, games, and tournaments the teams end up participating in this session.  We have already advanced $11,415.00 in fees for Spring tournaments, leagues, and practice facilities.  If teams end up playing this session, we will be assessing fees but, again, that amount and its due date will be determined at a later time.

Will Impact FC teams participate in tournaments this session?
As of today, we plan to participate in all scheduled tournaments.  We have attempted to reach out to some of the tournament directors and are waiting for responses.  If any of them tell us the tournament has been cancelled or rescheduled, we will let you know immediately.    We appreciate families have booked rooms and made travel plans for these tournaments and will do our best to give you updates on these tournaments.  

When will the parents, players, and coaches receive another update?
As indicated above, we will pass along information as we obtain it.  We will also send out another update similar to this one on May 15.

How will we be notified?
We will send an email message and post on the team app.

Who is making these decisions?
Impact FC board of directors.  Please contact a board member or email this address if you have any questions.  

Why can't the board give us more definite answers?
We have little control and there are a number of moving parts.  The leagues (and their governing bodies) decide if and when we can practice and play.  The tournament directors decide if and when the tournaments will take place.  Aside from simply dropping out of all the leagues, tournaments and cancelling the Impact FC season (something the board does not want to do at this time), we really have no choice but to wait for additional information.  

What about the Impact Juniors program scheduled?
The Impact Juniors program is cancelled.  All those that paid fees will be given a 100% refund.  We plan to reschedule the program for the Summer.
